What a time to live through!
We are indeed facing an unprecedented situation that all of us would have preferred to avoid. Covid-19 has dramatically changed our way of life everywhere in the world, from Marseille to Barcelona via Rome, London, Tokyo, Warsaw, Montreal… We are all in the same boat and a bit helpless in the face of this virus. We have learned a new word and adopted a new way of life: lockdown.
Of course one can see bridge as futile but it is crucial to take your mind off things. And that is the reason why the Funbridge team has been doing its best to try to entertain you. That is the least we could do.
Many of you have joined the Funbridge community and it was important to us to make sure you have your ‘bridge moment’ in the best possible conditions. While not attempting to present an exhaustive list, here are a few examples of actions taken to improve your experience with our app: new slots added for federation tournaments, a new partnership signed with a national bridge organisation, technical enhancements made to our infrastructure to ensure service stability, help provided to new players, the creation of special tournaments and much more.
Among all these initiatives one is particularly important: the creation of tournaments financing a fund for clubs.
As you know, clubs are at the centre of bridge life and development. They are the heart of our game. Our clubs are currently closed and will probably remain so for some time to come. Nobody knows when they will reopen. That is precisely to help them that we have launched these tournaments in partnership with the French Bridge Federation and I really encourage you to play them. You will do something good and participate in your own way!
Keep safe. Continue to practise, play tournaments, challenge your friends and first and foremost have fun on Funbridge!

Che tempi che stiamo vivendo!
Stiamo davvero affrontando una situazione senza precedenti che tutti noi avremmo preferito evitare. Il Covid-19 ha cambiato radicalmente il nostro stile di vita in tutto il mondo, da Marsiglia a Barcellona passando per Roma, Londra, Tokyo, Varsavia, Montreal… Siamo tutti sulla stessa barca e un po’ indifesi di fronte a questo virus. Abbiamo imparato una nuova parola e adottato un nuovo stile di vita: lockdown.
Naturalmente si può vedere il bridge come futile, ma è cruciale distogliere la mente dalle cose. E questo è il motivo per cui il team di Funbridge ha fatto del suo meglio per cercare di intrattenervi. Questo è il minimo che potevamo fare.
Molti di voi si sono uniti alla community di Funbridge ed è stato importante per noi assicurarci di farvi avere il “momento bridge” nelle migliori condizioni possibili. Senza presentare un elenco esaustivo, ecco alcuni esempi di azioni intraprese per migliorare la vostra esperienza con la nostra app: aggiunti nuovi slot per i tornei federali, firmata una nuova partnership con un’organizzazione nazionale di bridge, apportati miglioramenti tecnici alla nostra infrastruttura per garantire la stabilità del servizio, fornito aiuto ai nuovi giocatori, la creazione di tornei speciali e molto altro.
Tra tutte queste iniziative una è particolarmente importante: la creazione di tornei che finanziano un fondo per i circoli.
Come sapete, i circoli sono al centro della vita e dello sviluppo del bridge. Sono il cuore del nostro gioco. I nostri circoli sono attualmente chiusi e probabilmente lo rimarranno per qualche tempo ancora. Nessuno sa quando riapriranno. E’ proprio per aiutarli che abbiamo lanciato questi tornei in collaborazione con la Federazione Francese di Bridge e vi incoraggio davvero a giocarli. Farete qualcosa di buono e parteciperete a modo vostro!
State al sicuro. Continuate ad allenarvi, giocate i tornei, sfidate i vostri amici e soprattutto divertitevi su Funbridge!

¡Qué días nos está tocando vivir!
Nos enfrentamos a una situación sin precedentes que todos hubiéramos preferido evitar. Covid-19 ha cambiado drásticamente nuestra forma de vida en todo el mundo, desde Marsella a Barcelona pasando por Roma, Londres, Tokio, Varsovia, Montreal … Todos estamos en el mismo barco y un poco indefensos ante este virus. Hemos aprendido una nueva palabra y hemos adoptado una nueva forma de vida: confinamiento.
Por supuesto, uno puede ver el bridge como algo fútil, pero es crucial dejar de pensar en las cosas. Y esa es la razón por la cual el equipo de Funbridge ha hecho todo lo posible para entreteneros. Eso es lo menos que podemos hacer.
Muchos de
vosotros os habéis unido a la comunidad de Funbridge y ha sido importante para
nosotros asegurarnos de que tengáis vuestro “momento bridge” en las
mejores condiciones posibles. Sin interés de presentar una lista exhaustiva,
aquí hay algunos ejemplos de las acciones tomadas para mejorar vuestra
experiencia con nuestra aplicación: nuevas franjas para torneos federativos,
una nueva colaboración firmada con una organización de bridge nacional, mejoras
técnicas realizadas en nuestra infraestructura para garantizar la estabilidad
del servicio, ayuda brindada a nuevos jugadores, creación de torneos especiales
y mucho más.
Entre todas estas iniciativas, una es particularmente importante: la creación
de torneos que financian un fondo para clubes.
Como sabéis, los
clubes son el centro de la vida y el desarrollo del bridge. Son el corazón de
nuestro juego. Nuestros clubes están actualmente cerrados y probablemente lo
seguirán estando por algún tiempo. Nadie sabe cuándo volverán a abrir.
Precisamente para ayudarlos, hemos lanzado estos torneos en colaboración con la
Federación Francesa de Bridge y realmente os animo a jugarlos. ¡Haréis algo
bueno y participareis a vuestra manera!
Manteneros a salvo. ¡Continuad practicando, jugad torneos, desafiad a vuestros
amigos y sobre todo divertíos en Funbridge!

Was für Zeiten!
Wir erleben in der Tat gerade etwas spezielle Momente, die wir lieber vermieden hätten. Covid-19 hat unser Leben und unseren Alltag überall auf der Welt durcheinandergebracht, von Marseille bis Barcelona über Rom, London, Tokio, Warschau, Montreal… Wir sind alle in derselben Situation und stehen diesem Virus etwas machtlos gegenüber.
Man kann Bridge als ausreichend belanglos ansehen, aber es ist wesentlich, sich ablenken zu können. Und deswegen hat das Team von Funbridge das meistmögliche gemacht, um zu versuchen Sie zu vergnügen – das war das mindeste.
Sie haben sich uns zahlreich angeschlossen, und es ist wichtig für uns, dafür zu sorgen, dass sie ihren “Bridgemoment” so gut wie möglich verbringen. Ohne zu versuchen, eine lange Liste zu machen, hier ein paar Beispiele für Aktionen die realisiert wurden, um die Spielerfahrung mit Ihrer App zu verbessern: Das Hinzufügen neuer Spielzeiten für die nationalen Turniere, die Unterzeichnung einer neuen Partnerschaft mit einem Bridgeverband, die technische Verbesserung unserer Infrastrukturen, um Ihnen die Stabilität des Service zu garantieren, die Begleitung der neuen Spieler oder aber auch die Kreation von speziellen Turnieren.
Unter all diesen Initiativen gibt es eine ganz besonders wichtige: Die Kreation von Turnieren, die einen Fonds zur finanziellen Hilfe der Bridgeclubs speisen.
Wie sie wissen sind die Clubs im Zentrum des Lebens und der Entwicklung von Bridge, im Herzen unseres Spiels. Heute und vielleicht noch für einige Zeit sind unsere Clubs geschlossen, und niemand weiß, wann sie wieder öffnen werden. Damit wir ihnen helfen können haben wir diese Turniere in Zusammenarbeit mit dem französischen Bridgeverband ins Leben gerufen und daher ermutige ich Sie, sie zu spielen. Das wird Ihr Anteil und Ihre gute Aktion!
Passen Sie gut auf sich auf und machen Sie damit weiter auf Funbridge zu trainieren, Turniere zu spielen, Ihre Freunde herauszufordern und vor allem Ihren Spaß zu haben!
