Sounds very exciting , looking forward to the launch
Will the series tournaments remain unaltered and free to subscribers?
Thanks.
Yes of course
Hmm I truly hope this new rank won’t serve to reward those who pay more to play (on top of the monthly fee).
On a glance of the Overall Funbridge Rank, converting to BP’s, we would have:
– Current Top 10: 75.460 BPs (Lvl 33, 27 below the max Lvl 60)
– Current Top 100: 32.266 BPs (Lvl 23, 37 below the max Lvl 60)
… which is weird.
Let’s hope this will be just to set up the baseline and after the series tournaments and other non-paid tournaments will also allow to balance the overall new BP score and rank.
Thanks and regards,
Paulo
I agree. And there are some top players (not me) who have very few FB points. Curious as to what may happen to them.
The new formula for calculating Bridge Points won in a tournament will reward performance to a greater extent, whereas the old formula for calculating Funbridge Points was very generous as soon as there were a lot of players. Even with a mediocre performance, you earned a lot of points if you took part in a big tournament. With Bridge Points, the number of players will of course have an impact, but it’s the performance that counts. Of course, playing a lot of tournaments makes it easier to earn points, but with our new formula we’re moving away from a pay-to-win system, which is the opposite of what we want.
What’s more, the ranks and titles you see advertised here are based on cumulative points won, but there will also be a sliding ranking over the last 365 days and our ambition is really for the top of this ranking to be occupied by the best players, not just the big players. Let’s hope that our formula achieves this result. If not, we’ll change it.
Finally, on the subject of rewarding those who pay more when they’re already paying a subscription each month, stay tuned for our next communications, you should be in for a pleasant surprise.
Hi I’m a rookie… been playing less than a year
I,m anxious to participate, yesterday I started to play. Although I understand & speak English, I feel that there are some of the rules and system of counting my position, I might not have very clear, I just hope that during the process of partipating I’ll get to understand.
Is it possible to see the instructions in Spanish.
