Anam answered our questions

At what age did you start playing bridge? And what inspired you?

At 17, I was bored and needed something to occupy my mind. I discovered bridge in 2008, during summer courses in Pakistan. It wasn’t long before, with only a knowledge of Blackwood, my fellow players and I, equally novices, took part in the Junior World Championships in China. On my return, my passion for bridge led me to spend at least five hours a day online, every day, between 2008 and 2012.

What is your best bridge memory?

Best memory? I have a lifetime of memories! 😊

What is your bridge routine?

No routine – just trying to arrive on time to play 😇

What do you do when you are not playing bridge, professionally and personally?

When I’m not sitting at the table, I do a lot of things and nothing at all at the same time. My life is a hobby: I travel a lot, I spend time with my dogs, with a touch of reading, yoga, cooking and other games. My life is simple and enjoyable. The only thing I do professionally is bridge.

Extra tip from the expert

It’s weird to answer that, I don’t consider myself an expert. But take your time and count!
