Hi everyone! My name is Roxane Bernard, but you can call me The She-Wolf. I create bridge videos that are both fun and educational. My goal is to entertain players of all levels while sharing my passion and experience with the game.
On my channel, you’ll find enthusiastic commentary on World Championship deals, in-depth lessons on a wide range of topics, and live reactions during my daily training sessions.
Interview with Roxane Bernard
What inspired you to become a bridge influencer?
I’m a former high-level player, a certified bridge teacher, a national tournament director, and a lifelong video game enthusiast. It was while watching content from the gaming and chess communities that I realized I wanted to share my passion and love for bridge through video content of my own.
What are your dreams and goals as a bridge player?
Having already achieved many of my bridge dreams, my new goal is to create content that helps build a strong, engaged community around this wonderful game.

At what age did you start playing bridge?
At 13, I saw a light — and walked right in. I knew my hometown by heart, and one day in June, I passed by the local community center, which was bustling with activity. Curious by nature, I peeked inside and saw cards on the tables. Already a fan of tarot and belote, I didn’t hesitate for a second. That fall, I started bridge lessons… with adults.
What is your best bridge memory?
One evening at the Lyon Festival, I was leaving a restaurant when I overheard Bénédicte and Philippe Cronier discussing a deal. As I listened to the auction, I was surprised no one mentioned what seemed obvious to me: “Béné, if you showed the fit, then the 10 can only come from Q10x(x).” After a quick explanation, I had the joy of hearing the magic words: “Philippe, listen to this — she’s right!”
If you had to encourage someone to play bridge, what would you say?
For someone who doesn’t know the game:
Bridge is a fascinating game where every deal is different — a never-ending series of brilliant puzzles waiting to be solved.
For a beginner who needs motivation:
Focus on building strong fundamentals and stay consistent — with a solid base and discipline, anyone can reach the top ranks.
What do you like most about Funbridge?
In general, I love playing team matches and being scored in IMPs. That’s exactly what I enjoy most on Funbridge: the daily IMP tournament and the one-on-one challenges.

I’d like to share a piece of advice — and not just for beginners: Let’s not forget that bridge is a game, so let’s have fun! It’s often when we’re enjoying ourselves that we play our best and make the smartest decisions. Relaxation, enjoyment, and focus should be everyone’s guiding principles.
