Interview with Valentina Dalpozzo
At what age did you start playing bridge and what motivated you?
I started playing bridge when I was 13 thanks to my dad and I just got more involved in the Italian bridge world, joining the Italian kids team.
What is your best bridge memory?
My best memory related to bridge, I think, is the victory in the Italian Mixed Cup in 2019 (with my sister Federica, Giovanni Donati, Gabriele and Gianmarco Giubilo, and Sabina Kulenovic) because it was so unexpected and breathtaking.
What would you say to encourage someone to take up bridge?
To a person who doesn’t play bridge, I would say that it is a spectacular sport, where you don’t ever stop learning and that you can play for your entire life.
What do you do when you are not playing bridge?
Outside of bridge, I am studying at the University of Bologna and I play padel.
What do you like about the Funbridge app?
There’s a lot of choice between tournaments. New types of tournaments that are fun. You can easily message your friends and create challenges.
Why have you decided to joined Team Funbridge?
I joined Team Funbridge with Federica because we think that it could be a great opportunity to continue learning from other people and meeting new friends.
