Some teams are under pressure, others have made the choice to reinvent themselves. It is a good omen for bridge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The events to follow<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>To make sure you don\u2019t miss the best matches, you should focus on these events:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li> 3rd EUROPEAN WINTER GAMES <\/li><li> 55th EUROPEAN NATIONAL TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS <\/li><li>NABCs <\/li><li> 18th WORLD YOUTH TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS <\/li><li> 2020 WORLD BRIDGE GAMES <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who are\nthe favourites?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>During these international competitions, keep an eye on the favourites: <strong>Italy, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden and Poland<\/strong>. I will personally follow the Norwegian pair <strong>Brogeland\/Lindquist<\/strong> who was very impressive last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the women\u2019s side, 2020 will also be a year of challenges, especially for <strong>the Swedes who will have to confirm the good performance<\/strong> achieved in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, among the next generation of bridge players (U21), you should follow<strong> Israel, Sweden and France<\/strong> (possibly with my son if he is selected to the national team).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The teams to follow<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>2020 will see changes for some bridge players who <strong>have decided to renew their teams.<\/strong> If you want to know if they will win their bets, here are my suggestions: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding USA, <strong>Fleisher and Nickel<\/strong> have decided to welcome new players in their teams. It will be interesting to see their results at NABCs, <strong>their major challenge.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A new French-American pair is born. Indeed, <strong>the French Thomas Bessis<\/strong> will now be playing with <strong>the American Justin Lall<\/strong>. New partner means new habits. Will they be ready in time for the big competitions?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lastly, the biggest surprise of early 2020 is that Switzerland has welcomed <strong>Zimmerman<\/strong> back to their team. The other bridge players who will be  <strong>Piotr Gawrys, Michal Klukowski, Sjoert Brinkb et Bas Drijver<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now you know everything about the teams, players and events to follow in 2020.
