For the first time in the history of Funbridge<\/strong>, five professional bridge players known as the \u201cFunbridge Ambassadors\u201d<\/strong> will be joining you in the Ambassadors\u2019 tournament<\/strong><\/a> from 22 to 30 May 2021<\/strong>! <\/p>

How did you get into bridge?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

My father taught me when I was 10 years old. I\u2019ve played a lot with my brother Bas, especially in the Juniors category, and we\u2019ve enjoyed representing the Dutch Junior team. The Channel Trophy was one of the most pleasant tournaments we took part in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s your national ranking?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t participate in competitions anymore. Now I mostly teach bridge and play some online tournaments with friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s your playing record?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Multiple Dutch champion in the Youth category. And I finished second at the European Championships in Vienna. Each time with my brother Bas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s your best bridge memory?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The best thing is to teach bridge to kids. That is what I enjoy the most. Also, a nice memory is when we played a tournament together, with the whole Drijver family. I was the most popular partner because my brothers were too competitive 😉 Bob refused to play with Bas, so I did. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which achievement are you most proud of?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Second place at European Championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Setting up bridge lessons in a week for the Dutch bridge federation to make bridge popular among young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s your favourite game mode on Funbridge?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

One-to-one challenges. It is quite exciting to get challenged by J\u00e9r\u00f4me Rombaut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every month Tom Drijver will invite you to pit yourself against him<\/strong> in a special Funbridge Points tournament. And since good news never comes alone, if you score higher than the champion, you\u2019ll get free Diamonds!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Follow Tom Drijver using your Funbridge account <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Click \u201cFriends\u201d<\/strong> on the homescreen <\/li>
  • Click \u201cSearch\u201d<\/li>
  • Type in the ambassador\u2019s username<\/strong>: 
    DrijverBridge<\/strong>
    <\/li>
  • Click on his Funbridge profile to access it<\/li>
  • Once you are in the ambassador\u2019s profile, click \u201cFollow\u201d 🔍<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    2. Filter the tournament rankings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In the general rankings of the tournament, select the filter \u201cFriends\u201d<\/strong> to display your friends and Tom Drijver you are following<\/strong> only. This will allow you to see how you compare with the champion<\/strong> at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
