{"id":22179,"date":"2021-12-06T15:56:41","date_gmt":"2021-12-06T13:56:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/funbridge.com\/blog\/?p=22179"},"modified":"2021-12-07T12:52:48","modified_gmt":"2021-12-07T10:52:48","slug":"bridge-international-championship-winter-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/funbridge.com\/blog\/en\/bridge-international-championship-winter-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Bridge International Championship &#8211; Winter 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"384\" src=\"https:\/\/funbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Blog-BIC-Winter-EN-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22226\" srcset=\"https:\/\/funbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Blog-BIC-Winter-EN-2.png 720w, https:\/\/funbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Blog-BIC-Winter-EN-2-300x160.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Winter Bridge International Championship (BIC) kicks off Saturday<\/strong> in partnership with the World Bridge Federation.&nbsp;Come pit your skills against players from all over the world from <strong>11 to 20 December<\/strong>&nbsp;and enter the Winter 2021 Funbridge BIC world rankings!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Overall, over&nbsp;40,000 Diamonds&nbsp;and seats to the All-Star BIC will be distributed to BIC top players. <strong>Play only 5 tournaments<\/strong> by 17 December&nbsp;and get a chance of qualifying!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Your questions, our answers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Click on the links below to learn more about how the BIC works and the many prizes you can win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a data-toggle=\"collapse\" href=\"#1\"><h3>When will the BIC take place? \u25ba<\/h3><\/a>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"collapse\" id=\"1\"><p>The Bridge International Championship will be held from 11 December to 20 December 2021 on the Funbridge app.<br><br>It is split into two phases: <strong>the qualification phase and the final.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<a data-toggle=\"collapse\" href=\"#2\"><h3>How does the qualification phase work? \u25ba<\/h3><\/a>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"collapse\" id=\"2\"><p>The qualification phase will take place from 11 December to 20 December 2021.<br><br>100 tournaments of 6 deals scored by MPs are included.<br><br>You have to play at least 5 tournaments.<br><br>Once this threshold is reached, the results of your top 5 tournaments will be used to calculate your average score and determine your ranking.<br><br>To qualify and make it to the BIC final, your result must be equal to or higher than 56%.<br><br>At the end of this phase, all players who qualify will receive 50 Diamonds.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<a data-toggle=\"collapse\" href=\"#3\"><h3>How does the final work? \u25ba <\/h3><\/a>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"collapse\" id=\"3\"><p>Friday, day off! The final will take place from 18 to 20 December 2021 and include 8 tournaments of 6 deals scored by MPs.\n<br><br>You have to play 8 tournaments.<br><br>Once this threshold is reached, the results of your 8 tournaments will be used to calculate your average score and determine your ranking.<br><br>The BIC world rankings will be made available at the end of the final.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<a data-toggle=\"collapse\" href=\"#4\"><h3>What are the titles and prizes awarded? \u25ba<\/h3><\/a>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"collapse\" id=\"4\">\n<h4>Winter 2021 Funbridge BIC International Champion<\/h4>\n<p>The Winter 2021 Funbridge BIC International Champion title will be awarded to the player with the top score\/percentage in the BIC world rankings.<\/p>\n<p>Prizes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1st: 5,000 Diamonds + Winter 2021 Funbridge BIC International Champion title<\/li>\n<li>2nd: 3,000 Diamonds<\/li>\n<li>3rd: 1,500 Diamonds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>4th-10th: 200 Diamonds<\/li>\n<li>11th-50th: 100 Diamonds<\/li>\n<p>Rank among the top 50 players and win your seat to the All-Star BIC next summer (2022).<\/p>\n<li>51st-100th: 50 Diamonds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>Winter 2021 Funbridge BIC National Champion<\/h4>\n<p>The national rankings per country will be available provided that there are at least 10 players.<\/p>\n<p>The Funbridge BIC National Champion title will be awarded to the players with the top score\/percentage in the BIC rankings for their country.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1st national player: 1,000 Diamonds + Winter 2021 Funbridge BIC National Champion<\/li>\n<li>2nd national player: 800 Diamonds<\/li>\n<li>3rd national player: 500 Diamonds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Positions in the ranking lists after the final will determine the awarding of the International and National Champion titles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<a data-toggle=\"collapse\" href=\"#5\"><h3>How much is the entry fee? \u25ba<\/h3><\/a>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"collapse\" id=\"5\"><p>Each tournament of the qualification phase costs 25 Diamonds.<br><br>Tournaments of the final phase are free.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Winter Bridge International Championship (BIC) kicks off Saturday in partnership with the World Bridge Federation.&nbsp;Come pit your skills against players from all over the world from 11 to 20 December&nbsp;and enter the Winter 2021 Funbridge BIC world rankings!
