This indication, with no pedagogical value whatsoever, is <strong>the result of an analysis of the GIB software which is never mistaken<\/strong> but which sees all the cards.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>It can be fun to figure out how to achieve this often impressive result and to wonder if the solution is workable at single-dummy or if this software \u201ccheats\u201d. It is this exercise that I suggest you focus on here, on a fairly simple layout.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/funbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Full-game-1-1024x934.png\" alt=\"Full game\" class=\"wp-image-63387\" width=\"512\" height=\"467\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/funbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Board-1024x325.png\" alt=\"Board\" class=\"wp-image-63389\" width=\"512\" height=\"163\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>GIB claims that it takes <strong>ten tricks in hearts as East-West after any opening lead and whatever the defence. <\/strong>This would tend to suggest that, not vulnerable, it would be best to sacrifice <strong>with<\/strong> <strong>4 Spades<\/strong> (eight tricks) or <strong>with 5 Clubs<\/strong> (nine tricks).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>What do you think ? Do a little research before taking a look at the solution.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-spacer stk-block-spacer stk--no-padding stk-block stk-717741e\" data-block-id=\"717741e\"><style>.stk-717741e{height:10px !important}<\/style><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Let\u2019s take the most awkward lead: a club.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-spacer stk-block-spacer stk--no-padding stk-block stk-a6cc2ce\" data-block-id=\"a6cc2ce\"><style>.stk-a6cc2ce{height:10px !important}<\/style><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The problem is not to lose a trick in each suit. It is therefore necessary to setup a second Spade to discard a loser or find a way to dispose of the losing Spade. If you play Spades right away, South plays the Queen, you take the Ace and cannot immediately play back a Spade because South can play a third Spade, killing the potential discard. You have the same problem if you play on trumps after winning the Ace of Spades.<strong> So this is not the solution.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-spacer stk-block-spacer stk--no-padding stk-block stk-6509f7f\" data-block-id=\"6509f7f\"><style>.stk-6509f7f{height:10px !important}<\/style><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How about playing trumps before Spades?<\/strong><br>North can win with the Ace, cash a club and can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-spacer stk-block-spacer stk--no-padding stk-block stk-2f930d9\" data-block-id=\"2f930d9\"><style>.stk-2f930d9{height:10px !important}<\/style><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Play a Spade<\/strong>, in which case, you will, after drawing trumps, be able to set up a Spade for a Diamond discard<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Return a Diamond. <\/strong>In this case, you win, draw trumps and duck a Diamond, subsequently discarding a Spade on the Diamonds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-spacer stk-block-spacer stk--no-padding stk-block stk-2edff83\" data-block-id=\"2edff83\"><style>.stk-2edff83{height:20px !important}<\/style><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Il a l\u2019air d\u2019avoir raison ce logiciel !<\/strong> Et sur l\u2019entame \u00e0 Pique, qu\u2019en pensez-vous ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It seems to be right this software!<\/strong> And on a Spade lead, what do you think?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s the same principle. You win, play a Heart to the King and a Heart for the Queen and Ace.
