I decided to take a risk however. If my partner has a doubleton either in <strong>Hearts<\/strong> or <strong>Diamonds<\/strong>, I can ruff in the dummy for <strong>the 13th trick.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I would have bid with <strong>Bas Drijver<\/strong> I could bid 6D as a big slam try. But with Argine, that&#8217;s not a possibility yet. Interesting because my partner is aware that I know all his picture cards and deciding between <strong>6D and 7D<\/strong> depends on the distribution. With 4-3-3-3, 6S would be the final destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/funbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Deal-.png\" alt=\"Deal two\" class=\"wp-image-62821\" width=\"320\" height=\"550\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Against 7&#x2660; West leads a low diamond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><em>Please think for yourself<\/em><\/em> <em>which<\/em> <em>card you would play before reading on<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As expected,<strong> 6 spades, 2 hearts, 2 diamonds and 2 clubs<\/strong> make a total of 12 tricks. Obviously, I need to find<strong> the 13th trick. <\/strong>Hopefully, a squeeze will do the job<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s play the King of Diamonds, cash the King of Clubs and play a spade to the King.<strong> Ruff a club and play all your trumps.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/funbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Deal-three.png\" alt=\"Deal three\" class=\"wp-image-62820\" width=\"317\" height=\"474\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Discarding a diamond on my last trump might mean trouble for West. After playing spades, I cashed<strong> the King of Hearts <\/strong>and played a heart towards the dummy. Now West can only hold 3 cards and is unable to guard clubs and diamonds.
