But the risk of getting too high is much more dangerous in my opinion. Therefore, I decided to pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-spacer stk-block-spacer stk--no-padding stk-block stk-c8c22b9\" data-block-id=\"c8c22b9\"><style>.stk-c8c22b9{height:10px !important}<\/style><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/funbridge.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Deal-3-38-1012x1024.png\" alt=\"Deal 3\" class=\"wp-image-72413\" width=\"506\" height=\"512\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Against 1NT, East led a heart and <strong>it was time for me to plan the play<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s count our tricks: <strong>one spade and two diamonds make three tricks<\/strong>. Now, let\u2019s see how many heart and club tricks the opponents cash, and then finesse a spade. This sounds like a decent plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To my surprise, West played the 9 of Hearts to my 10. I finessed a spade and West discarded the 10, which means he probably has one or two spades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When playing in NT, is it important not only to count your tricks at the start but also to keep counting them.
