Potential tricks to develop:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2 club tricks with the Ace of Clubs in West<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 or 4 spade tricks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 or 3 diamond tricks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s take a closer look at the bidding. West opened the bidding, showing 12+ points. Our hands make a total of 25 points, so East will have between 0-3 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The diamond suit seems to be the best to develop because of the 8 diamonds we have together. So, let&#8217;s count potential tricks when Diamonds work as expected: 3 diamond tricks and 2 club tricks, making a total of 3 + 6 = 9 tricks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or do you see an extra chance? And if West were to take the ace, this would create great chances in spades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s count tricks again:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 spade tricks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 heart tricks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 diamond tricks (if they break as expected)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 club tricks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>That sums up to 10 tricks and a score of 95%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Never forget to seek those extra chances.
