It is logical to start by playing &#x2665; because if the suit divides 3-3, your troubles are over. Should you adopt the classic play of playing towards the King-Queen twice in order to gain against a possible Ace-doubleton with West? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Definitely not, as East can win the lead and play a &#x2660; through your Ace-10 tenace. You should choose your play based on the context, aiming not to give up the lead to East prematurely. Cross back to the dummy in &#x2666; and play a small &#x2665; away from the King-Queen. If East rises with the Ace, you have three tricks in &#x2665;. If the Jack is beaten by West&#8217;s Ace, there is no risk.
