Commentary

West has preferred his partner’s shorter suit. There is a strong likelihood that West is singleton in spades. A trump lead is therefore indicated, to limit spade ruffs in the dummy and thus preserve natural tricks.

  1. I’ve been severely penalized when leading the 4th lowest card when leading against a No Trump Bid. The hands that did well varied from that tactic. I don’t know who to believe anymore. What’ s your rationale for varying from leading the 4th lowest card against a No Trump hand especially when my partner doesn’t bid?
